Editorial approach

Kanji Daily is written for English-speaking Japanese learners. Readings and word forms are verified against reference material, while English meanings, examples, and culture notes are original RichBay explanations.

Dictionary attribution

This site uses material from the JMdict/EDICT dictionary files in accordance with the licence of the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group.

RichBay does not imply endorsement by EDRDG. JMdict is used primarily for reading and form verification; published learning explanations are independently written.

Difficulty estimates

JLPT ranges are editorial estimates. JLPT does not publish a complete official vocabulary list for every level, so ranges should be treated as learning guidance rather than certification claims.

Privacy

Kanji Daily uses a first-party anonymous cookie for up to 90 days to restore attempts, hints, streak continuity, and aggregate retention metrics. The token is not linked to an account, not used for cross-site tracking, and only a server-side hash is stored.
